Studio Annie Patterson

After a long career in design for a very diverse range of clients, Annie changed direction and gained a Diploma in Botanical Illustration from the English Gardening School at the Chelsea Physic Garden, London in 2002.

 

Exhibitions followed in the USA, Australia, UK and Europe and she contributes to Florilegia and Public and private collections. These include the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation, the Highgrove Florilegium, the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew and the Sydney Florilegium, Chateau de Villandry and the Shirley Sherwood Collection. She has recently been awarded the Diane Bouchier Award for excellence in botanical art. Annie was a founder member of the Hampton Court Palace Florilegium Society and contributed to the collection before relocating to France in 2010.

She is a gallery artist at Forum botanische-kunst, Germany, run by Sylvia Peter and specializes in 'botanical' subjects.

 

Annie is located in Champigny Sur Veude south in the Loire Valley, France where she grows and collects unusual and interesting plants to paint, combining traditional drawing and painting skills with lively contemporary compositions.
